Who we are
Unreel Ad Manager ("Unreel") is a private software tool owned by Xyeir LLC ("we"). We use it to manage advertising for our owner's own businesses through the Meta Marketing API. It isn't offered to the public, and it has no outside users or customer accounts.
Information Unreel handles
- Business information: our own business profiles, such as what each business sells, its website, its social media pages, its monthly budget limit, and text from its public website.
- Ad content: the ad text, headlines, photos, and videos we prepare for our ads. Photos and videos may show people, such as clients of our businesses.
- Meta advertising data: information from the ad accounts we control, such as campaign, ad set, and ad settings, budgets, and performance results like spend, reach, clicks, and conversions.
- Meta access credentials: the access token and ad account IDs that let Unreel connect to our own ad accounts.
Unreel works with combined advertising results. It doesn't ask Meta for the identities of the individual people who see or respond to our ads.
How we use it
We use this information only to create, review, run, and measure ads for our own businesses, and to keep spending within the budget limits we set. We don't sell it, and we don't use it for anyone else's advertising.
Where it's stored
Unreel runs on a computer controlled by its owner, and only that computer can connect to it. Information is stored there, and Meta access credentials are kept in a local file that isn't published or shared.
Who it's shared with
- Meta Platforms: ad content and campaign settings are sent to Meta so our ads can run. Meta's own privacy policy covers how it handles information.
- Anthropic: Unreel uses Anthropic's Claude to help draft ad text and summarize websites. Our business profile information and public website text are sent to Claude for this, and combined advertising results may be sent for recommendations. Anthropic's privacy policy covers how it handles information.
- Legal requirements: we may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it to manage our advertising, and we delete it when it's no longer needed. Meta advertising data can also be removed from Unreel at any time by disconnecting our ad accounts and deleting the stored data.
Deleting your information
If you believe Unreel holds information about you, including a photo or video you appear in, email charlie@playbackmedia.net and ask us to delete it. Tell us enough to find it, and we'll delete it and confirm by email. Information already held by Meta is managed through your Meta account settings.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies or analytics and doesn't collect information through forms. It's hosted on GitHub Pages, and GitHub may record technical information such as visitors' IP addresses for security. GitHub's privacy statement explains how it handles this.
Children
Unreel isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Unreel handles information, we'll update this page and its effective date.
